MazingiraYetu is working to end extreme sanitation problems in Kenya’s informal settlements. Now more than ever, there is an urgent need for solutions that solve sanitation and environmental pollution in Africa.

We are ambitiously expanding our Urban River Restoration Program to cover 20 km of the Ngong River which flows through some of the densely populated informal settlements in Nairobi, Kenya.

Our Impact:

  • 200 youth and women employed
  • 3 business enterprises along the waste value chain created
  • 9km of river cleaned
  • 3 Waste material recovery facilities constructed
  • 19 Community Ablution Blocks in Kibera slums

Are you looking to inspire change in the world? Do you want to see transformative change where nature and people can thrive and live in harmony?

Please help us reach our target of 20 km of river clean-up by donating to this cause. Together, we can create the much-needed change.

Coding for Kids Program – East Africa is an education-centered social initiative that aims at providing high-quality coding and tech programs for children and teens aged between 6 to 16 years old in East Africa. For the period of August to October 2022, we are targeting to reach and impact a total of 240 Kids with our program lessons being delivered online.

Teaching children programming ensures they are better able to use logic in problem-solving for the years
ahead. Programming knowledge helps children structure their ideas more effectively while developing their grasp of challenging technical concepts. The resulting computer knowledge empowers children to greater success in the future as computers and other devices become integral to our lives.
